Yoga with Meg
Public and Private Yoga Classes
I have been teaching weekly Jivamukti Yoga classes for several years. I trained directly with Sharon Gannon, the co-founder of this method, and have extensive experience in supporting various needs within my public classes. I get just as much out of teaching Jivamukti Yoga, as I give.
Additionally, I have training and experience in Trauma Sensitive Yoga, iRest Yoga Nidra and Somatic Experiencing. I have diverse experience providing yoga classes, including public and yoga therapy studios, outpatient hospital settings, private individual and group classes, as well as training presentations for yoga teachers and presenting my yoga research findings in professional and academic settings.
You can read more about the classes I offer, as well as view my monthly Teaching Schedule below and deep dive into my blog.

Come practice with me:
Jivamukti Yoga
Jivamukti Yoga is a path to enlightenment through compassion for all beings; it is one of the nine internationally recognised yoga methods.
Jivamukti Yoga was co-founded by New Yorkers David Life and Sharon Gannon in 1984. However, this yoga modern method has deep roots in the ancient Indian, rigorous, classical Ashtanga Yoga method. You can read more about Jivamukti Yoga on my blog.
I offer weekly Jivamukti Yoga classes on Saturdays from 8.30 - 10AM at Yoga Farm in Mount Duneed.
Within this yoga method there are a few different types of classes, most of which I offer, including:
Jivamukti Open Class (90 minutes)
Spiritual Warrior (60 minutes)
Jivamukti Basics (60 minutes)
The Magic 10 and Beyond (60 minutes)
Restore and Renew (60 minutes)
Jivamukti Yoga Meditation Class (60 minutes)
Jivamukti Open classes are offered every Saturday (except the last Saturday of the month) and are open to all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.
All of the 60 minute classes described above are offered on rotation on the last Saturday of each month and followed by a free 30 minute Jivamukti Yoga satsang - spiritual community connection over a cuppa tea.
My monthly Teaching Schedule is published below.
iRest Yoga Nidra
Integrative Restoration (iRest), or iRest Yoga Nidra is a modern, secular adaptation of the ancient meditative practice of Yoga Nidra. Nidra is a Sanskrit (ancient Indian language) word meaning sleep hence, Yoga Nidra is often called "Yogic Sleep”. iRest combines traditional yogic meditation with western psychology and neuroscience, making it a trauma-sensitive and highly accessible meditation practice, with emerging evidence for treatment of PTSD and persistent pain. You can learn more about iRest and read my peer-reviewed journal articles about iRest for Pain here.
I periodically teach a public iRest Yoga Nidra class. My monthly teaching schedule at Yoga Farm can be found below. Please get in touch if you would like to arrange iRest Yoga Nidra private classes for yourself, small or corporate groups.
Restorative and Trauma Sensitive Yoga
In Trauma Sensitive Yoga, classical components of Hatha Yoga (the origin yoga style that all other yoga styles are derived from) are modified to honour trauma-informed principles. Unlike my Jivamukti Yoga classes and many other public yoga classes available, Trauma Sensitive Yoga does not use music, incense, hands-on assists or any other sensory stimulation that may distract the practitioner from the felt-sense of their body. Although Trauma Sensitive Yoga includes some classical Hatha Yoga movements, the emphasis is on safety and choice, predictability and developing trust in self and other.
I am a certified Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher (Trauma Sensitive Yoga Australia) and have experience in teaching public and private courses, including at Geelong Yoga Therapy, as well as providing trauma sensitivity consulting and training to studio owners and their teachers. Additionally, I teach Jivamukti Yoga in a trauma sensitive manner with invitational language and consent cards for hands-on assists etc.
I love combining Restorative Yoga and Trauma Sensitive Yoga for inclusive and nurturing private group experiences. I occasionally offer public Restorative and Trauma Sensitive Yoga group programs at Yoga Farm. Get in touch if you would like to arrange Restorative and Trauma Sensitive Yoga private classes for yourself, small or corporate groups.

In future, I hope to provide various workshops and group programs about all the things I love to teach:

You can periodically check back here from July 2027 onwards to see what workshops and group programs are currently being offered.
